What does floater mean and does it have the same motion being putted. I have no idea. Just learning

They are for courses that have water hazards as part of their holes and they do not want the balls to sink into any machinery they may have at the bottom or they don't want customer reaching down to grab their balls if they go into the water. They just float on top of the water.
Yes they play like regular balls, they have a mid level bounce it guess you can say.
