Q: I'm looking to make the grip on my shafts feel fatter than a normal grip. Which size should I purchase? .580 or .600

Asked by: Tedd Nardelli - 3/7/2021
A: Either one will work, the .580 is a slightly smaller diameter opening so it would feel slightly bigger vs a .600 core going on the same shaft.

A: Either core size would work. The .600 has a slightly larger corebar so the "wall" of the grip is thinner. That means the .600 will feel slightly smaller if you put both size core bars on the same exact shaft.

Q: I have a set of the Tacki-Mac Tapered Black Arthritic Grips on my current irons and I want to install a set on my Ping clubs, I cannot tell how to select the proper size ? Please advise.

Asked by: KENNETH WARE - 5/26/2020
A: It's based on your hand size really. If you have large hands or if you can't squeeze your hand very much due to arthritis then you would want the jumbo size.

A: Are you talking about size as in standard to jumbo size. You can tell by the number of rings on the grips. Standard has 5 rings and the jumbo has 3 rings. If you are talking about core size you will have to roll up the grips at the opening about 1/4"-1/2" and we stamp inside the grip either .58 or .60
which is the core size.

Q: I’m confused what size to get. From my understanding the grips will fit pretty much any club but the size is more based off on how it will feel in my hand? Is that correct?

Asked by: Sophie - 6/9/2021
A: Yes that is correct. For someone with arthritis they like the bigger grip so the don't have to squeeze to hang onto the club.

Q: I want to purchase the arthritic jumbo grip but unsure about core size. I am a 55 year old female with smaller hands. Can you advise?

Asked by: Julie - 12/1/2021
A: The core size is for the size of the bell end of the grip/opening. The .580 core is a slightly smaller opening so it would make the wall of the grip slightly thicker so it would feel slightly bigger on a shaft vs a .600 core grip. If you have small hands you might want to go with the standard size grip?

Q: is the arthritic serrated black jumbo completely non-tapered, or is it slightly non-tapered?

Asked by: john brandt - 8/15/2022
A: It does have a slight taper to it. If you want a non-tapered serrated grip then look at the 40-160 serrated unified grip.
